From October 17 to 19, eight participants from around the world shared three informative days at the Veterinary Competence Centre Karthaus, Germany, to gain not only theoretical knowledge but also to apply practical techniques relating to equine embryo transfer.
Dr. Monika Esch and Dominika Becherer from Minitube headquarters along with Trisha Keller-Désulmé from Minitube USA attended and provided support throughout the seminar. They could not have chosen a better location than the Veterinary Competence Center Karthaus, a modern veterinary clinic whose range includes all diagnostic and therapeutic treatments in the areas of equine medicine as well as small and large animal services.
Led by two experienced trainers, Dr. med. vet. Jutta Sielhorst, Dipl. ECAR, and Dr. med. vet. Kim-Carolin Spilker, participating veterinarians were educated in ET management, embryo collection & evaluation, embryo transfer processes as well as OPU. Guest speaker, Roberto Sanchez, an embryo & OPU specialist from Colombia, imparted his expertise and facilitated hands-on lessons to participants during wet labs as well.
