Certificate of honor from the IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce)
The history of Minitube began 50 years ago in a small laboratory in Landshut. Today, Minitube International is the market leader for technologies for assisted reproduction of farm animals.
When Dr. Ludwig Simmet started his work as a veterinarian for breeding hygiene at the Niederbayerische Besamungsgenossenschaft Landshut-Pocking eG (NBG) in the 1960s, the technology of artificial insemination of farm animals was still in its infancy. Driven by the prospects and dissatisfied with the existing product range on the market, Dr. Simmet developed a new technique for freezing bull semen and founded the company Minitüb in 1970.
On the occasion of the company's 50th anniversary, Minitüb GmbH has now received an IHK certificate of honor. Alexander Schreiner, General Manager of the Lower Bavaria Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Hans Graf, Vice President and Chairman of the Landshut Chamber of Commerce and Industry Committee, congratulated the members of the management on the steady and sustainable development of the company. They showed particular interest in the company's history and praised the fact that Minitube, as a global group with ten subsidiaries, has never lost sight of its roots and values. Minitüb GmbH is still a family owned company; the third generation of the Simmet family has recently joined the management team.
Even if the planned celebration of the 50th company anniversary had to be postponed by a year due to the restrictions of the Corona crisis: Dr. Ludwig Simmet's legacy is preserved and continued in the future by around 400 committed Minitube employees around the world who strive for new and continuously improved technologies in animal reproduction.
