“AndroVision® week” in Uruguay
In February 2022, Maurício Barros (Minitub do Brasil) and Andres Carrau (Phibro, Uruguay) visited customers working with Minitube's CASA system AndroVision®.
The first client visited was the well-known Cabaña “El Coraje”, belonging to the Bove Itzaina family. Here, in the region of Sarandi del Yí , bovine semen from the Brangus genetics is being produced. The laboratory has been working with the AndroVision® CASA system for years and a general review of the equipment and processes was carried out.
As a second stop, the Agrogen animal breeding center located in Durazno was visited by Minitube for installation and training of a new AndroVision® CASA system and an automatic filling machine MPP Uno. Agrogen performs the freezing and sales of bovine semen of several breeds in the country.
Finally, the Universidad de la República, located in Paysandú, received a visit from Minitube to update their AndroVision® CASA System and install a new module in the program for analyzing acrosome integrity, using fluorescent probes. Jorge Gil, coordinator of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Professor at the Universidad de la República, was the first in Uruguay to purchase the AndroVision® CASA System in 2014.
All customers receive continuous remote technical support from Minitube and the personal visit of these customers was a great opportunity for an exchange of ideas and productive discussions, after a long period of restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
