Canine ART

Semen collection, preservation and insemination products for small animal veterinarians and dog breeders.

The first recorded attempts of artificial insemination in canine date back as far as the 18th century; however, as an industry it is still in its infancy. Research thus far indicates that there are distinct advantages in the use of AI in dogs, over natural mating. In 2005, Minitube introduced a complete product line of canine artificial insemination equipment and consumable products. The product line was developed by Minitube experts and veterinarians in close cooperation with universities and private veterinary practices around the world.

Education courses for the veterinarian on canine semen preservation, AI, breeding management and TCI (transcervical insemination) are regularly offered.
