Minitub Ibérica participates in conference of Spanish insemination centers
After the pandemic, the annual conference of the Spanish porcine studs, united in the ANPS, took place again in Madrid. The topic this time was "New goals in artificial insemination in swine".
The day started with a presentation by Rosa Díez, who focused on the main points to comply with the new legislation for breeding farms, as well as the quality standard of boar studs (ANPSTAND). Its goal is to allow the standardization of procedures and establish minimum standards that the semen doses produced must meet.
Our colleague from Minitub Ibérica, Carmen de Alba, then gave a presentation on "AndroVision® eFlow 2019-2022: Successful implementation in swine semen laboratories", summarizing the evolution of AndroVision® in the 10 years of its existence and the successful implementation of the 59 eFlow systems that produce semen doses for more than 17,000 boars worldwide. In addition, AndroScope, the smallest member of the AndroVision® family, was introduced at the end of the presentation.
Spain is the European leader in boar semen production with more than 12,000,000 doses per year.
