Minitube at the 8th International Symposium on Stallion Reproduction
From February 12-14, the 8th International Symposium on Stallion Reproduction (ISSR) was held in Cordoba, Spain. Minitube, dedicated to advancing reproductive science and supporting education, was proud to be represented at this important event by Johanna Gandorfer of Minitube Germany and Janine Wernli of Minitub Ibérica. They engaged with interested visitors at their booth and showcased a selection of Minitube's most popular equine reproduction products.
More than 200 participants from 30 countries, together with excellent speakers and more than 50 posters, made the city of Cordoba the center of attention for the equine stallion. The event was held at the Rectorate, a magnificent neo-Mudejar building constructed in 1914 and originally the home of the Veterinary Faculty.
Conference topics included advances and developments in reproductive physiology, semen analysis, processing and preservation, artificial insemination, assisted reproductive technologies, genetics, fertility and diseases of the reproductive tract in horses and other equine species.
The Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Manuel Hidalgo, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Cordoba and Professor of Animal Reproduction at the same faculty, has led an excellent congress, not only from a scientific point of view, but also from a cultural one. Cordoba is the city with the most World Heritage Sites in the world and shares with the rest of Spain the title of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, awarded to Flamenco (2010) and the Mediterranean Diet (2013).
