Countdown for ICAR 2020+2 and 4th Simmet Prize
From June 26 to 30, the next ICAR will finally take place in Bologna, Italy. After the event being postponed twice due to the worldwide pandemic, the Local Organising Committee is now delighted to welcome around 1,000 delegates for an appealing program.
For Minitube, the congress has a special significance in two ways: First, we will be present as sponsor with a large booth and many highlight products, such as Henryetta, Suzy, MultiCoder, AndroVision®, and CowScope. But even more, we look forward to awarding the 4th Simmet Prize for Assisted Reproduction to a worthy recipient.
The Simmet Prize is sponsored by Minitube International and administered by ICAR. The prize, established as a memorial to the accomplishments of Dr. Ludwig Simmet, a pioneer in development of artificial insemination in farm animals and founder of Minitube, recognizes an active research scientist for basic and applied research published during the previous six years in the area of assisted reproduction of animals. The prize is presented each 4 years and includes an award of 50,000 euros.
Within the ICAR opening ceremony on Monday, June 27, the next Simmet Prize winner will be solemnly honored.
